Coronavirus update 25 March 2020
Following the latest announcements from the Prime Minister (on 23rd March 2020), Home-Start Butser is currently applying the new stricter measures around Coronavirus.
The Prime Minister’s statement yesterday outlined unprecedented measures that:
- ordered people only to leave their homes under a list of very limited purposes including shopping and one exercise trip a day
- ordered the immediate closure of shops selling non-essential goods
- ban public meetings of more than two people.

Home-Start Butser has now implemented remote working and the Petersfield office is now closed. Staff will only have emergency access to the Petersfield office for business critical functions. We will be continuing to stay in touch with families during this period to offer guidance and support and this will be offered through telephone and email.
Home-Start Butser are also involved in local emergency provision – such as working with foodbanks or providing baby supplies/food/medicine drops to families but social distancing needs to be observed within it wherever possible. If you are self-isolating and / or are unable to get out to purchase essential supplies or need foodbank supplies please contact the office on 01730 233755 during office hours or email office@homestart-butser.org.uk.
