Marvellous Mooeys works its magic with Home-Start Butser parents and children.
Last week throughout half-term Mooeys the gorgeous new nail and beauty salon on Petersfield High Street promoted the local family support charity Home-Start Butser.
Owner Vanessa Moss said “We are passionate about the work of Home-Start Butser, it is a wonderful charity. The support they offer families with young children makes such a difference. They are the first charity we chose to support and plan to select a different charity every year however, they are so close to our hearts that we want to have a special Home-Start Butser day for them every year. Seeing the faces of the parents and children as they were given a special treatment was a joy. Our lovely Therapists showed such a lot of care with the families and children and the two who dressed up as, Snow White and Princess Elsa were much in demand and made the children’s day.”
Throughout the week Mooeys ran a raffle with cake, coffee and prosecco offered for a donation and they raised an incredible £1000 for the charity.
Nicola Winter, Scheme Manager said: “Not only is this a considerable sum of money raised, it was also amazing to see their High Street windows promoting Home-Start Butser. Telling more people found out about the incredible work that Home-Start Butser does helps us to recruit volunteers and offer more families support. We are so grateful to the wonderful Mooeys team who gave so much care and attention to our families on their special pamper day. We also want to thank the EHDC Councillors who supported our day with a grant. A wonderful example of local partnership working.”
