Music and Drama Festival at the Half Moon

The annual Home-Start music festival at the Half Moon went up several gears this year to become a 3-week festival of drama and music enjoyed by over 1300 people and raising £10,000!

Drama was in the form of Emma, by Jane Austen, and Music nights featured Queen tribute band ‘Its a kinda magic’ and popular local bands Black Cherry Jam and Bluestone Bills. This all culminated in the 3-day festival weekend from 23rd to 25th July when 13 bands performed across a wonderful range of genres. Performers, technical crew and stewards all volunteered their services to ensure a thoroughly professional event safely enjoyed by the guests.

We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the performers, volunteers, Robert Ingram and the Half Moon who put on this most fantastic event, to provide us with essential funds.

There will be more Home-Start Butser events at the Half Moon in coming months including a drag night starring Tiffaney Wells on 19th November, a Burns Night Ceilidh on 28th and 29th January and a St Patricks day celebration on 19th February.  Booking for all these and other events will open soon on the Half Moon website.
