This week, our wonderful volunteer Jenny received a Mayor’s Award, and we couldn’t be prouder!
Jenny has been consistently volunteering for 25 years, without so much as a break. That makes her our longest-serving volunteer.
Every now and then she says she might step away, but it never quite works out. Somehow, one of us always appears with another “possible family” who could really benefit from her warmth, wisdom and support.
Over the years she has supported so many families. Many of the children she once helped are now grown up, married, and starting families of their own. The ripple effect of Jenny’s kindness stretches across generations.
Jenny, thank you for 25 years of compassion, dedication, and quiet life-changing work. Your impact is immeasurable, and this recognition is so well deserved.
